Taking place at various locations throughout France, the annual Get Afloat Weekend aims to introduce newcomers to the country's waterways through a number of events, try-out sessions and exhibitions. Involving associations, clubs, schools, regional tourist boards, water sports centres and private tour and activity operators, everyone from novice through to experts are invited to participate in a whole raft of aquatic adventures planned for the weekend. Activities are open to the young and old alike and range from scuba diving to sailing.
